Teatro Popular Solano Trindade no Circuito Cultural Paulista.
Embora a origem da companhia remonta de meados dos anos 70, o Teatro Popular Solano Trindade tem suas raízes lá em 1936, quando o patrono do grupo fundou o Centro Cultural Afro-brasileiro e a Frente Negra Pernambucana, extensão da Frente Negra Brasileira. O interesse pela cultura popular, urbana e negra é a força motriz que levou Raquel Trindade, filha mais velha de Solano, a criar em 1975 o que se tornou o maior teatro negro do Brasil.
O Teatro Popular, fundado em Embu das Artes, traz para o Auditório Ibirapuera — Oscar Niemeyer um espetáculo que traz consigo um pouco da história do espaço cultural, com poesia, dança, música e, claro, muito teatro. A companhia se apresentará dia 25 de julho, sábado, a partir das 20 horas, com distribuição gratuita de ingressos a partir das 18h30 no próprio Auditório.
