Dias 9, 16, 23 e 30 de julho, os interessados em aprofundar conhecimentos sobre música erudita terão oportunidade de participar de um curso livre sobre o tema.
Trata-se do curso livre ‘Introdução à música erudita do século XX’ ministrado pelo músico Matheus Leston, e composto por quatro aulas, realizadas às quintas-feiras no MAM – Museu de Arte Moderna, localizado no Parque Ibirapuera.
Divulgação
Desenvolvida para quem não possui necessariamente conhecimento de teoria musical, a oficina apresenta os principais compositores do último século, entre eles: Stravinsky, Debussy, Messiaen, Xenakis, Stockhausen e Ligeti.
Por meio de audições de suas peças e discussões, será desenvolvida uma investigação sobre os impactos e influências desses compositores na história da música. Serão abordados os compositores do romantismo, buscando entender quais foram os paradigmas quebrados durante o modernismo, e também das influências da música erudita na música popular e vice-versa.
Sobre Matheus Leston
É músico, artista e produtor musical. Em 2013 criou e produziu a Orquestra Vermelha, projeto multimídia premiado pelo Programa Rumos. Desenvolve também a apresentação Ré e produz música eletrônica sob o nome Lateral. É membro da Patife Band de Paulo Barnabé e trabalhou em diversas instituições de arte, como o Instituto Tomie Ohtake e Fundação Bienal de São Paulo. Participou das exposições Caos e Efeito e Adrenalina, do projeto Ao Redor de 4’33” da 7ª Bienal do Mercosul, da 4ª Jornada de Cinema Silencioso e do Sistemas Ecos 2014 como artista e tutor. Além de trabalhar com edição de som, sonorização para publicidade e consultoria em projetos multimídia, compôs a trilha sonora da série Contos do Edgar e dos filmes Preto ou Branco! A Redação, Obra Prima, Mais uma Noite entre outros.

Today, I went to the beach front with my children.
