Economia, eficiência e sustentabilidade. Poderíamos aproveitar este momento de crise para pensar em como fomentar um natal especial. Talvez vislumbrar para o próximo ano uma árvore de verdade, mais barata e bonita, como a árvore do Rockfeller Center em Nova Iorque que é um pinheiro de verdade e pago pelos comerciantes do entorno que lucram com movimento, geram impostos e consolidam o espaço como um centro comercial. Ou mesmo a do Trafalgar Square em Londres, também um elegante pinheiro de verdade iluminado doado anualmente pela prefeitura de Oslo.
Onde fica a Árvore do “Ibirapuera”
Por que seguir construindo a árvore onde não há comércio, onde o cidadão não consegue chegar perto? Segundo pesquisa veiculada pela SPTuris, a árvore é a atração de natal mais conhecida da cidade, porém quase metade não a quer onde ela fica atualmente. Não estaria na hora de mudar o local e conceito? Buscar um espaço com bancos, cadeiras e serviço, ou mesmo incentivando atividades que possam gerar recursos para consolidar um área de comércio e pagar pela árvore. Feirinha de natal com comida, lojas e entorno iluminados. Afinal, sabemos que a cidade não tem recursos para investir no Natal, mas ninguém quer ser eternamente refém de campanhas de marketing ou incentivos culturais, também dinheiro nosso.

Sem ti-ti-ti. Claro que grande é geralmente melhor que pequena, afinal é uma árvore para a cidade. Mas, paremos para pensar. O tamanho desta ano esta ótimo! Tão bom que seja onde for colocada ano que vem, com este tamanho já pode ser substituída por uma árvore de verdade. Mais econômica e bonita. :-)

Certo é que não podemos ficar refém de grandes campanhas marqueteiras ou eventuais projetos milionários com incentivos fiscais (nosso dinheiro) para ter natal em São Paulo. O caminho é desenvolver o entorno de áreas específicas para que os comerciantes locais financiem por conta própria os festejos natalinos. Sim, acreditamos em São Paulo e que incentivar e promover feirinhas de natal organizada pelos próprios comerciantes é o caminho vencedor: comida, bebida, venda de objetos de decorações, souvenir, música de artistas de rua. Baixo custo e enorme impacto é igual a sustentabilidade.
Como está o projeto de revitalização do Anhangabaú? O local ainda precisa de ações de melhoria, mas como diz Roberto Carvalho de Magalhães (abaixo em comentários), incentivar a integração do comércio com a Sé, Teatro Municipal e até com as missas cantadas, canto gregoriano no Mosteiro de São Bento, aí sim teremos um interessante complexo natalício como forma de ajudar a revitalizar o centro.
