Wynton Marsalis é conhecido pela seriedade ao tratar a música e é considerado “embaixador da música americana” pelo seu profundo respeito e divulgação das tradições musicais.

Marsalis começou cedo na música e hoje é considerado um do maiores trompetistas da atualidade. Já colaborou inúmeors outros músicos, como Dizzy Gillespie, Arturo Sandoval, Herbie Hancock, Jack DeJohnette, Bobby McFerrin. e é também diretor do Jazz at Lincoln Center em Nova Iorque.
