No domingo do dia 27 de outubro, as 20h, o Parque Ibirapuera encerra a 37º edição da Mostra Internacional de Cinema exibindo gratuitamente o filme Nathan, o Sábio ao ar livre.
Nathan, o Sábio é um filme alemão histórico feito em 1922, dirigido por Manfred Noa e que aborda temas como a paz e a tolerância entre os povos.
O filme estrela Fritz Greiner, Carl de Vogt and Lia Eibenschütz e é baseado na peça Nathan, o Sábio de Gotthold Ephraim Lessing de 1779. Produzido na Bavaria, o filme provocou protestos pela direta extremista que sentiu que tom era muito pró judeus. Acabou proibido pelo comitê de censura do governo alemão na época de seu lançamento e não foi mais exibido na Alemanha após a ascensão do nazismo.
A exibição de Nathan, o Sábio será acompanhada por trilha composta especialmente para o filme pelo libanês Rabih Abou-Khalil, executada pela Orquestra Petrobras Sinfônica e regida pelo maestro Carlos Prazeres.
